The Pinnacle of Seafood-Specific Dining in the Heart of the City
Uoshin Nogizaka is a short walk from Roppongi in the Nogizaka district, an area better known for polished dining rooms than casual seafood restaurants. That is exactly what makes this place stand out. It belongs to the Uoshin group and is backed by Suzukane, a long established Toyosu wholesaler with buying power few independent shops can match.
The menu is built around seafood, vegetables, and grains. There is no meat added as a side option or safety net. The restaurant knows what it wants to be and stays with it.
Inside, the space is divided naturally depending on how guests want to spend the evening. Near the entrance is a standing sushi section, useful for a quick drink and a few bites. Further in, counter seats face the open kitchen, where the pace of service and knife work become part of the experience. The rear has table seating for groups or slower dinners. The room is comfortable, warm, and easy to settle into.
The menu changes daily with the Toyosu market, alongside a number of regular dishes that guests return for. The best known order is nokke zushi, rolls topped generously with crab, ikura, uni, and minced tuna. It looks dramatic, but each topping still keeps its own flavor and texture.
Sashimi platters can be adjusted freely based on budget or preference. Requests such as adding sweet shrimp or focusing on certain fish are handled without fuss, which says a lot about the kitchen’s confidence in its supply.
The fish is sliced according to texture rather than one fixed style. Temperature is managed properly, so raw dishes arrive tasting fresh rather than cold for the sake of being cold.
Cooked dishes are also worth attention. Agedashi tofu comes with well made dashi that has real depth. Shirako with ponzu is served with care, keeping its softness intact. Grilled eihire carries light smoke and pairs naturally with sake. Fugu karaage is fried so the meat stays juicy and lifts cleanly from the bone.
One reason the restaurant stays busy is value. In this part of Tokyo, seafood at this level usually costs more. Even on quieter weekdays, seats fill with repeat guests and local regulars.
Reservations are recommended, especially for counter seats and weekend evenings. TableEX can arrange your booking directly and help secure the best available time for your visit.
